RE: Recreation Proposed 1968 Program Attached hereto is additional information on the Proposed 1968 Recreation Program which information has been prepared by the Recreation Director, Mr. D. Moore.2. RE: Alderman R. N. McGregor, Chairman, Airport Commission- Airport Commission Recommendations---TO: City CouncilFROM: Chairman, Red Deer Industrial Airport CommissionAt a recent meeting of the Airport Commission, consideration was given to providing management services at the Industrial Airport and, also appointment of new members to the Commission.The Commission would recommend to Council that authorization be granted to engage the services of Mr. P. Johnston and/or Johnston Air Services Ltd. to provide management services on a month to month basis as was done previously with exception that the exclusive rights clause be removed from any future agreement.Mr. Johnston has reported that his firm is prepared to carry out this function on the conditions noted above.The Commission would also recommend that Mr King Perry be re-appointed to the Commission for a further term to expire in October, 1969.Respectfully submitted,R. BarrettRE: Auxiliary Hospital BoardThe Red Deer Auxiliary Hospital Board have notified the City that Mr.Peter Tredgett has resigned as a member of the Board.Mr. Tredgett's present term of office would have expired in October of 1968.Mr Herbert Fielding, lawyer, and Mr. M. Hewson, merchant, have indicated their willingness to serve on this Board if appointed. Possibly, Council members may have other prospective appointees.It is suggested, when all prospective appointees have been named, that each Council member write the name of his choice on separate paper, and the prospective appointee receiving the majority approval, be appointed to this Board with term of office to expire m October, 1968.It is also suggested that Council members wishing to bring forth the name of another appointee, should contact such person to obtain his willingnexx to accept this appointment should Council agree.R.
