Description: Fonds consists of the administrative and operational records created, accumulated, and used by the Waskasoo Environmental Education Society during their activities programming the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and Fort Normandeau.The types of records included are minutes, newsletters, pamphlets, brochures, correspondence, policy manual, master plan, illustrations and drawings, created for exhibits and publications, Gaetz Lake Sanctuary history, newsclippings, and reports (including Joffre Cogeneration Power Plan, interpretive program report. Records also include a copy of an interview by Jackie Penn with Kerry Wood (April 1956, CFAC Women's World).No series assignment has been applied to the records in this fonds.

Source: Records were transferred in 15 accessions between 1988 and 2023. Records were created as per the business and operations functions of the Waskasoo Environmental Education Society and the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.Some records were previously on long-term deposit with the Red Deer and District Archives in accordance with a pre-existing agreement between the City of Red Deer and the Normandeau Cultural and Natural History Society.
